Norfolk Polonia CIC is a Polish non-governmental organisation committed to supporting minority groups in Norwich (Norfolk), especially Central and Eastern Europeans.
ounded in 2018, we provide social support to Poles, the local community, and other national minorities in the area. Since 2019, we have officially cooperated with the Consular Section of the Polish Embassy in London and with Norwich City Council, and since 2021 we have managed the West Earlham Community Centre. Our organisation is led by the following directors: Pawel R. Jelenski (Managing Director & Founder), Dorota Darnell (Founder), Justyna Kwiatkowska and Hanna Jaskiewicz. Our work is based on cooperation with various organisations that support national minorities in Norfolk. We have an extensive network of friendly institutions and groups that are able to provide free support thanks to our referrals.
We collaborate with Norwich City Council, MP Clive Lewis, the local police, the Consular Section of the Polish Embassy in London, the Polish Community Hub in Ipswich, and UK organisations such as GYROS, Leeway, NCLS, Future Projects, and Norfolk Citizens Advice.
We have received grants from Norwich City Council, Macmillan Cancer Support, Norfolk Community Foundation, and The National Lottery Community Fund.
Since 2019, we have been officially cooperating with the Consular Section of the Republic of Poland in London, providing passport services, elections and consultation support between Polish authorities and citizens in Norfolk and Suffolk.
We are also the only Polish organisation in Norfolk and Suffolk that is a member of the Polish Community Advisory Council in London, established by Polish Ambassador Piotr Wilczek.
